Bristol Motor Speedway’s first race was July 1961, with 18,000 in attendance. In 2003 a record 160,000 filled the stands as Kurt Busch won his second Food City 500. The entire backtrack and old concrete stands were demolished and reconstructed in 1996 and the result is seating for 160,000, 52 luxury skyboxes and a spectacular track. Bristol Speedway’s events include: regular Street Fights, Mopar Drag Racing, Harley Davidson Drag Racing, and the Junior Dragster Nationals.
In addition to year round racing events, the Speedway is home to driving schools, driving safety programs and ride-along programs. Daily tours of the track are offered for $5 for adults, and discounts for seniors or children. Admission tickets vary in price according to the event, from $20 for an advance purchase (one day) to $300 for a weekend combo pass. Camping is available at many locations with reservations required, and rates vary from $160 for each event week to $840 for a season reservation with full hookups. Blue Ox offers weekly rentals and Medallion Motorcoach Community spaces rented by the season.
Take a quick trip to Sevierville and see 90 of the top muscle cars in the US at the Floyd Garrett Muscle Car Museum. The museum exhibits include super stock cars, rare engine cars and a gift shop with NASCAR souvenirs. The museum is open year round and admission is $9 for adults and $3 for children.
In downtown Nashville you will find the Lane Motor Museum with 150 cars and motorcycles not usually seen in the US. Their exhibits include microcars, amphibious and competition cars, as well as military and alternative fuel vehicles. Admission fees for adults 18 and over is $5, 18 and under are free.
The Nashville Speedway is home to the Indy 200 Series Race, as well as the Toyota Tundra NASCAR Craftsman Truck Race and much more. There are several events held at the track each year including the Sports Car Club, Music City Mustang Club, the Corvette Connection and many driving schools and races of all kinds.

RV parking is offered at two locations around the track during the weekend of races and events. Day parking for RV’s is free while space is available.
